Confident Communication and the Art of Influence & Persuasion
In this two part course, you’ll unlock cutting edge tools to effectively communicate and will be empowered with the verbal and nonverbal skills and strategies to effectively influence and persuade others in professional settings. Whether you’re delivering a sales pitch or an in-house presentation; speaking up in a team meeting or trying to convince your peers to adopt your big idea; you will learn how to move the needle in your favor and ethically achieve optimal outcomes.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
In this two part course you will explore concepts and terms that are foundational to understanding DEI. The session begins with developing a common vocabulary and invites you to reflect on concepts such as equity, diversity, inclusion, and social identities. You will be introduced to definitions and the concept of ‘the built landscape’ and understand how certain concepts and terms are distinct and overlap. You will also be challenged to identify your “why” for engaging in this work along with reflection exercises for applying the concepts within your sphere of influence. You will then reflect on concepts such as micro-aggressions, unconscious bias, and effective dialogue and view scenarios where you’ll be invited to think about how you might respond. Language for different responses will be provided to help you consider various perspectives and what, if any response, feels like a feasible option for you. Supplemental work will challenge you to go beyond understanding concepts to building capacity for action in your sphere of influence.
