Equity & Inclusion (Part 2)
Explore advanced concepts and terms that are foundational to understanding how to put DEI into action! These skills will help you be more effective in creating equitable and inclusive teams and environments. The session continues to add to the common vocabulary from part 1 inviting you to reflect on concepts such as micro-aggressions, unconscious bias, and effective dialogue. You will be given stories and scenarios and invited to think about how you might respond. Language for different responses will be provided to help you consider various perspectives and what, if any response, feels like a feasible option for you. Supplemental work will challenge you to go beyond understanding concepts to building capacity for action in your sphere of influence.
